Chemistry Olympiad Sri lanka (COSL) committee of the Institute of Chemistry Ceylon invites students who are following Chemistry as a subject for the GCE Advanced Level (local or UK) for the preliminary selection examination of the Sri Lankan National Chemistry Olympiad. Those who sit for the GCE (A/L) in January 2024 for the first time can also apply. 

The preliminary selection examinations will be held on Sunday, 11th February 2024 at 11 centers islandwide. Before the preliminary examination, applicants will be invited to an online Chemistry teaching camp. (Details will be notified through an email) 

Based on the results of the preliminary selection examination, the COSL committee will select 30-35 applicants for the final round of the National Chemistry Olympiad examination. National level Gold, Silver, and Bronze medal winners will be recognized at the Annual Sessions of the ICHEMC. Also, the best four students will be selected to represent Sri Lanka at the International Chemistry Olympiad which will be held in Switzerland in 2024. Please note that students who are below 20 years of age as of 1st July 2024 will only be eligible to represent the Sri Lankan team.
