The International Mendeleev Chemistry Olympiad (IMChO) is a prestigious annual competition for secondary school students, first held in 1967 in honor of Dmitri Mendeleev. It brings together young chemists from around 30 countries to tackle challenging theoretical and experimental problems, promoting excellence in chemistry and international scientific collaboration.
For the first time, COSL committee received an invitation from the International Mendeleev Chemistry Olympiad (IMChO) organizing committee to participate Sri Lankan delegates (in the 59th IMChO held in Belo Horizonte, Brazil from 5 th to 13 th May 2025.
