The Institute of Chemistry Ceylon annually organizes national-level initiatives to recognize and nurture outstanding students in chemistry across the country. Building on the success of its inaugural edition, the Second Sri Lanka Junior Chemistry Olympiad – 2026 was conducted to further expand opportunities for young aspiring school students to demonstrate their knowledge and passion for chemistry.
The Second Sri Lanka Junior Chemistry Olympiad 2026 was successfully held on Saturday, 10th January 2026, at island-wide examination centers. The competition provides students with valuable early exposure to Olympiad-style examinations, helping them develop analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a deeper interest in chemistry.
Following the successful conduct of the examination, the list of finalists selected from the Preliminary Selection Test is given below in alphabetical order.
