53rd International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO) 2021 Award Ceremony

Students who won bronze medals and an honorable mention at the 53rd International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO) 2021 representing Sri Lanka were recognized recently at an award ceremony organized by the Chemistry Olympiad Sri Lanka committee of the Institute of Chemistry Ceylon (IchemC). This event was held on 14th December 2021 at the IChemC headquarters. Senior Professor Sudantha Liyanage, Vice Chancellor of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura grace this occasion as the Chief Guest.

Sri Lanka Wins Three Bronze Medals at the 53rd International Chemistry Olympiad

Nadun Naveendra Rajapaksha (Dharmaraja College, Kandy), Kelambi Arachchige Achira Hansindu (Mahinda College, Galle) and Manujaya Praveen Wijesinghe (Royal College, Colombo) won bronze medals at the 53rd International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO) competition 2021. Chemistry Olympiad National winners 2021

Due to the Covid19 pandemic situation in the country preliminary round of the National Chemistry Olympiad competition was not held in the year 2021. Therefore, 26 finalists were selected from students with three A passes (3As) for the G.C.E (A/L) 2020 examination.
